Tide Tamer Service Bulletin

Tide Tamer recently learned from one of its component manufacturers that a certain lot of gear reducers (SO 86119 and SO 86120 located on the top of the gear reducer on the back side of the Hatteras Drive Unit) may have been assembled and shipped with inadequate lubrication. The lack of adequate lubrication could result in a higher power demand to operate the lift and possibly premature failure of the gear unit.

In cooperation with the component manufacturer, Tide Tamer recommends that these units be inspected for proper lube level. As such, please contact Tide Tamer at 252-747-5180 (Joey Price) to receive a work order number and a time for the inspection of your lift. In the interim, Tide Tamer suggests that you contact the end user and advise them not to use their lift. We understand this may create an inconvenience for you and your customer. However, Tide Tamer values your business and we want to promptly address this matter so any inconvenience is minimal.
